Joe

Mississauga
Joe Costa, Director of Mind to Muscle™ , is a Sports Therapist with
over 4 years of Sports Medicine and Conditioning experience. He
has lectured to Universities and sports organizations both provincially
and nationally on various athletic performance related topics. One
of Joe's specialties include peak sports performance of the visual
system (Dynavision)as well as psychomotor training of athletes.
Joe continues to train many professional, amateur and developing
athletes in their pursuit to achieve optimal athletic performance.

Dave is a certified Athletic Therapist and Director of Mind To Muscle
with over 14 years sports medicine and conditioning experience.
This experience and education along with his ongoing research in
functional core strength and stability, has given our programs proven
and unique exercise applications. Dave is also a frequent lecturer
to Therapist Associations, medical professions and sports organizations
both provincially and nationally.
Dave is an active level six hockey referee in the Ontario Hockey
League. He has been selected to officiate at the 2000 OHL All-Star
game, 2000 World Junior Championships in Switzerland and the 2001
World Championships in Germany.

Pete Maschinter, a proud member of the Mind to Muscle Team has been
working in the fitness industry for the last four years. Presently,
Pete is completing his degree in Kinesiology while specializing
in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counseling at York University.
His experience with Fitness York has enabled him to participate
in fitness appraisals and testing with the likes of the Toronto
and St.John's Maple Leafs, the 2001 NHL entry draft, Ontario Fire
Fighters, along with a host of other amateur and national caliber
athletes. Being heavily involved in athletics, Pete's interest lies
in athletic training and conditioning. More and more people are
becoming aware of the importance and the potential athletic advantages
available to those who engage in properly structured conditioning.
With the combination of fundamental and innovative measures of training
along with commitment and intensity, athletic strides are to be
met. At Mind to Muscle, Pete is looking forward to helping you set,
reach and ultimately surpass your athleic and fitness goals!

Mississauga
A graduate from York University earning his HBSc in Kinesiology,
Jim also holds certification as an Athletic Therapist and in Strength
and Conditioning. He comes to us after recently leaving the Belleville
Bulls and previously, the Sudbury Wolves as Head Team Therapist.
Also, Jim presently holds the Head Therapist position with the Under
17 Team Ontario for the World Championships
2001/2002. He worked with Team Ontario last season as well and attended
the World Championships held in Nova Scotia.During the NHL playoffs
in 1999, Jim was the Assistant Therapist for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jim is the latest and welcome addition to our Muscle to Muscle Team.

Barrie
A graduate of York University in 1998, Steve completed the sport
Therapy Certificate Program along with his degree in Kinesiology.
Steve is also a certified kinesiologist with the Ontario Kinesiologists
Association, and a certified personal trainer through the American
Council of Exercise. The Society of Weight Training Injury Specialists
also recognizes Steve as an active member. You can now find Steve
managing the Barrie location E.S.P. (Elite Sports Performance) which
opened its doors October 1st 2001. Still active athletically, Steve's
sports of choice are hockey and lacrosse, both of which he still
plays on a semi-competitive level.
Rick Schaly, CAT(C) Director (Barrie)
Rick is a well-established entrepeneur from Barrie who operates
rehabillitation facilities. He is the president of Sports Medicine
and Rehabillitation Centres, with two locations in Barrie and one
in Angus. The clinic's professionals include Orthepedic Surgeons,
Sport Medicine Physicians, Physiotherapists, Athletic therapists,
Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Kinesiologists, Occupational
Therapist, and a Dietitian. Along with a rehabillitation operation,
he heads up Trainer's Choice, a sport medicine product company that
manufactures its own line of braces, and supplies over 3000 locations
in Canada and is widely used by the NHL, CFL and universities. Recently,
Trainer's Choice was selected as the official supplier to Team Canada
Hockey for the 2001 Olympics.
Dan Marouelli, Director (Barrie)
Dan is a well-known National Hockey League referee who has officiated
in over 1000 games over the past 20 years of his career. He is considered
to be one the best in the world illustrated by his work in the 2001
playoffs refereeing game 6 and 7 of the Stanley Cup final and physical
fitness. After using several different methods of training, he has
chosen the sport specific, scientifically proven method of core
stability. Dan and many players are moving to this form of total
body conditioning that also prevents injuries while improving performance.
Actively using the programs, Dan was very excited to have the opportunity
to be involved in a business that delivers something he believes
in and is so rewarding to other athletes.
